The GOAT AC30s isn’t a combo amp, it’s a real head. No speaker built-in. No weight you didn’t ask for. You plug it into the cabinet you want – big, small, vintage, modern – or skip the cab entirely and go straight into a Himmelstrutz RECO. Practice silently, record directly, keep your neighbors out of it – all the way analog!
Three Volumes, Full Intelligence
Forget traditional tone stacks. The GOAT AC30s gives you three interactive volume controls – Brilliant, Normal, and a master Volume – and these aren’t just gain stages. They shape your tone. Blend chime with warmth, add body or cut, and then push it all into the power section with the Volume (master).
Then comes the Cut control – not a harsh treble kill, but a smooth rolloff that rounds things out when needed. Together, these four controls form a real-world tone engine. You don’t need labeled Bass/Mid/Treble controls when the whole front end already thinks like a team.

What we provide is a balance of tradition and progression, giving you the unmistakable valve tone in a design that’s lighter, more versatile, built to last and of course – always – tiny is mighty!
Flip the Feel
The “TB”* switch – short for Tone Balance, not Top Boost – adds even more flexibility. Three positions:
1: Adds top-end focus and clarity/bite/aggression.
2: Softer, flatter and fuller response.
3: A different kind* of focus, bite and clarity compared to position 1.
This switch reacts with everything: your guitar, your pickups, your volume settings. And – best of all – there’s no app here to make you exhausted. You play, you flip, you listen. That’s the interface.
* Clarity, bite, and aggression can, if needed, be fine-tuned via an internal switch (2-way jumper).

Trimmed to What Matters
The old AC30’s tremolo/vibrato? Not here. Not because it was bad – but because you can’t squeeze everything into an MXR-sized case and still have it sound like a real amp. With Himmelstrutz GOAT AC30s it’s space for the stuff that makes music, not extras.
Need Reverb or Echo? It’s Got You.
If you're running delays, reverbs, or other time-based effects that like a cleaner path, the GOAT AC30s has a serial effects loop. Just in case you want to take the tone surfing, outer-space wandering, or tape-echo dreaming. It’s tucked in the back, waiting if (and only if) you need it.

The GOAT AC30s can do clean. It can do edge. But if you want more gain, more fire – drop a good overdrive in front. To keep it great all the way, use a Himmelstrutzer. Our pedals are built to pair beautifully with any of our amps. You keep the feel of the amp – just crank the heat.
And when you throw in the RECO, you’re carrying an entire amp system in your backpack – with all the tone, none of the volume (if ya need not as loud or all quiet) and zero modeling tricks. Just reality. In a box. Which fits in your pocket!
